Upcoming School Board Elections - April 2!

School boards play a vital role in determining how schools and districts are run by helping shape and monitor district policies and processes. Three seats on the Tulsa Board of Education are coming up for election at the beginning of April, and it is important that YOU make your voice heard by voting in your local elections.

If you live in board district 2, 5, or 6, we hope that you’ll make a plan to get out and vote on Tuesday, April 2. The deadline to register to vote in the April 2 election is Friday, March 8. You can learn how to register to vote here or look up your polling place here. 

Save the Date for TPS Ready. Set. Summer 2024!

Current Tulsa Public Schools PreK - 8th grade students, join us for Ready. Set. Summer 2024!

Our free, full-day summer learning and enrichment program runs June 20th - July 19th this year (No programming on July 4-5).

Students who register for Ready. Set. Summer! at Tulsa Public Schools will:

  • Attend the program Monday through Friday at one of 24 sites across Tulsa (Elementary: 8am-3:30pm; Middle School: 9am-4:30pm)
  • Receive breakfast and lunch meals free of charge; and
  • Have a chance to learn, play, and build relationships with their peers.

Registration opens later in March after Spring Break.

Kravis Summer Arts Camps from TPS – Registration Open!

Kravis Summer Arts Camp provides an opportunity for students from across the city of Tulsa to express their creativity and be immersed in the fine arts for two full weeks each summer (2024 camp dates: June 3-14). Learn more and register online today – applications for grades 1-8 are due April 12; applications for students in grades 9-12 are due May 1.

Celebrate Reading Partners Tulsa and City Year Tulsa Saturday, March 9

Join TPS partners City Year Tulsa and Reading Partners Tulsa as these organizations mark 10 years of dedicated service benefitting TPS students and our Tulsa community.

Celebration is Saturday, March 9, 1-4pm at Gathering Place. This event is FREE and open to everyone and will feature student performances, lawn games, face painting, music, and more (including cake!) English flyer; Spanish flyer

TPS Hiring Fair – March 27
Did you know? Many long-serving team members started working at Tulsa Public Schools because – like you – they had a child attending school in the district.

The Talent Management team is excited to host an Educator Hiring Fair on Wednesday, March 27 from 5-8pm at the Memorial High School Veterans Arena located at 5840 S. Hudson Ave. Tulsa Public Schools is looking for passionate, dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting our students as they learn and grow in the 2024-2025 school year. The team will be hiring for teaching positions and many school-based support roles. We encourage you to share this opportunity with friends and family who may be interested in joining Team Tulsa! Guests who RSVP early using this link will receive a swag bag of TPS gear!

Youth Medical Mentor Summit @ TulsaTech

Your 8th-12th grade student is invited to the Youth Medical Mentor Summit on March 12th. Students can explore the world of medicine through hands-on clinical activities and connect with professionals in the field. Complimentary lunch is provided for all participants.

  • Thursday, March 14: No classes for teacher professional development.
  • Friday, March 15: No classes for spring parent/teacher conferences.
  • Monday, March 18 - Friday, March 22: Spring Break for students; Enrollment Center closed to the public.
  • Monday, March 25 at 6:30pm: Regular meeting of Tulsa Board of Education. More info here.
