Ms. Pense has been an educator with Tulsa Public Schools since 2004. Her first teaching assignment was 1st grade at Sandburg Elementary. In 2012, she was placed in her first administrative role at Skelly Primary. Ms. Pense is a graduate of RELAY School of Education. In her spare time, Ms. Pense enjoys spending time with family, cooking, baking, reading and watching movies.
I hold a Master's in Educational Leadership and Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. I taught third and fourth grade for six years before coming to Tulsa Public Schools in 2018. I served novice teachers as an Instructional Mentor before becoming an Assistant Principal. I am a Tulsa Public Schools alumni and am proud to come back to serve the students and families of Tulsa.
I joined Team Tulsa in August 2013. Joining Team Tulsa has provided opportunities for me to grow personally and professionally.
I taught six years of middle school reading, english, and theatre for Catoosa Public Schools. I also taught five years of English, English Language Development, AVID, and Credit Recovery at Nathan Hale High School. I transitioned out of the classroom into the role of assistant principal at Skelly Elementary in June 2018.
I earned my Bachelors degree from Northeastern State University and my M.Ed., from the University of Oklahoma.
